COURSE OVERVIEW
This lesson teaches you to recognize and understand the required elements of your company’s written hazard communication program, including how to: protect yourself from hazardous chemicals used or stored in your workplace using the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), recognize and respond to label elements, and understand the contents of Safety Data Sheets.
Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Recognize the purpose and importance of a hazard communication program
- Recognize the physical and health hazards associated with hazardous chemicals
- Identify chemicals and their hazards, through labeling, markings, pictograms, and warning practices
- Identify the purpose and components of a Safety Data Sheet

PASS MARK
Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
