GAS DETECTION ONLINE COURSE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
This gas detection online course is designed to provide safe operating procedures regarding the detection and control of flammable and toxic atmospheres. Workers using these systems must understand and operate them properly to remain safe while working around potentially dangerous gases. Learn about the features and operation of the most common detector tube devices (bellows and piston)which are sampling devices. For reactive gas monitoring, the use of various gas monitors (personal, portable, and fixed) provides continuous monitoring. Important information is explained about explosive ranges (LEL and flammable ranges), toxic atmospheres like H2S, oxygen levels (deficiency and enrichment), flammable substances, flammable gas principles, vapour detection, and more!
Who would benefit from this online course?
All workers, employers and safety watches entering or near a work site that requires any type of gas detection equipment. Common required worksites including mines, plant sites, drilling operations, servicing operations, pipeline operations, confined spaces, up stream and down stream oilfield operations, pulp and paper mills, sewers, and landfills.
